Course Overview
-
Presented by "L2 Candle Lab," the Wagashi Dessert Candle Salon is an inviting course designed for beginners and dessert candle enthusiasts interested in the artistry of candle-making. The term "Tangguozi" refers to traditional Chinese pastry confections, known in Japanese as wagashi, which were introduced to Japan during the Tang Dynasty. This course guides students through an enjoyable journey, starting with basic candle-making theory and covering various techniques to create delightful dessert-inspired candles.
Participants will craft a stunning collection of traditional Asian dessert candles, each carefully designed to capture the unique charm of these sweets. In addition, students will delve into the enchanting world of wagashi-inspired candles, where the final colors and shapes reveal themselves as delightful surprises. This element of unpredictability, combined with the freedom to experiment with different hues and forms, makes creating wagashi candles an especially gratifying and creative experience.
